Peer Review Process

Jurnal Dharma Bhakti Ekuitas (JDBE) implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, relevance, and academic integrity of all published manuscripts. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review procedure.

Each submitted manuscript undergoes the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Evaluation
The editorial team evaluates the manuscript to ensure its conformity with the journal’s focus and scope, author guidelines, publication ethics, and writing quality.

  2. Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin before proceeding to the peer-review stage.

  3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who have expertise relevant to the manuscript topic. Reviewers assess:

    • Originality and novelty

    • Relevance to community service and empowerment

    • Methodology and implementation approach

    • Practical and social impact

    • Quality of analysis and discussion

    • Clarity and organization of writing

  4. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer recommendations, the editor may decide:

    • Accept Submission

    • Minor Revisions Required

    • Major Revisions Required

    • Resubmit for Review

    • Reject Submission

  5. Revision Process
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewer and editor comments within the specified revision period.

  6. Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision after evaluating the revised manuscript and reviewer recommendations.

The average review process generally takes approximately 4–8 weeks depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.
