Publication Ethics
Jurnal Dharma Bhakti Ekuitas (JDBE) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and preventing all forms of publication malpractice. The journal follows ethical guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics to ensure integrity, transparency, and quality in scholarly publishing.
Duties of Authors
Authors must ensure that:

The submitted manuscript is original and has not been published or submitted simultaneously to another journal or publication.

The manuscript presents accurate data and genuine community service or research results without fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.

All references and sources are properly cited.

Authorship is limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the work.

Any conflicts of interest related to the manuscript are clearly disclosed.

Ethical standards involving communities, participants, organizations, or stakeholders are properly maintained.

Authors are willing to revise manuscripts according to reviewer and editor recommendations.

Authors promptly notify the editor if significant errors are identified in the published work.
Plagiarism and unethical publication practices in any form are strictly prohibited.
Duties of Editors
Editors are responsible for:

Evaluating manuscripts objectively based on academic merit, originality, clarity, relevance, and contribution to community empowerment.

Maintaining confidentiality regarding submitted manuscripts and reviewer identities.

Ensuring a fair, unbiased, and timely peer-review process.

Avoiding conflicts of interest in editorial decisions.

Taking appropriate action regarding ethical complaints, corrections, or retractions when necessary.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers are expected to:

Conduct manuscript reviews objectively, professionally, and confidentially.

Provide constructive feedback to improve manuscript quality.

Identify relevant published works not cited by the authors.

Inform editors about suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, or ethical concerns.

Decline review assignments if conflicts of interest exist.
Peer Review Integrity
All manuscripts submitted to JDBE undergo a double-blind peer review process involving at least two reviewers with expertise relevant to the manuscript topic. Editorial decisions are based on reviewer recommendations, manuscript quality, originality, practical contribution, and relevance to community service and empowerment.
Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin before entering the review process. Manuscripts with significant similarity levels or evidence of plagiarism may be rejected or returned for revision.
Ethical Oversight
The editorial board reserves the right to reject, retract, or publish corrections for articles found to violate publication ethics, including plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, citation manipulation, and unethical research or community engagement practices.
