Policy on Unethical Manuscript Withdrawal and Simultaneous Submission

To maintain the integrity of the scholarly publication process, Dharma Bhakti Ekuitas is committed to enforcing high standards of publication ethics in accordance with internationally accepted ethical principles.

Upon submission, authors are required to confirm that the manuscript:

  • has not been published previously;
  • is not under consideration by another journal; and
  • will not be submitted to another journal while it is undergoing editorial evaluation at Dharma Bhakti Ekuitas.

This declaration constitutes a formal commitment by the corresponding author on behalf of all co-authors.

The Editorial Office acknowledges that manuscript withdrawal may occasionally be necessary due to exceptional circumstances. However, withdrawal without a legitimate and acceptable reason, particularly after the manuscript has entered the peer-review process or after reviewers have completed their evaluations, is considered an unethical publication practice.

Such actions consume the valuable time and professional efforts of editors, editorial staff, and peer reviewers, delay the editorial process, and undermine the integrity and efficiency of scholarly publishing.

Editorial Policy

Effective immediately, the following policy shall apply:

  1. Authors requesting manuscript withdrawal after the peer-review process has commenced must submit a formal written request explaining the reason(s) for the withdrawal.
  2. The Editorial Board will evaluate each withdrawal request on a case-by-case basis to determine whether the justification is acceptable.
  3. Withdrawal of a manuscript without a valid justification, particularly after peer review or during the final stages of editorial processing, may be classified as unethical manuscript withdrawal.
  4. Authors who engage in unethical manuscript withdrawal may be blacklisted and *prohibited from submitting manuscripts to Dharma Bhakti Ekuitas for up to three (3) years, or for another period determined by the Editorial Board depending on the severity of the violation.
  5. The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject any future submissions from authors who have violated this policy.

Policy on Simultaneous Submission

Dharma Bhakti Ekuitas strictly prohibits the simultaneous submission of manuscripts to multiple journals.

If it is discovered that a manuscript has been submitted to another journal while it is under editorial consideration at Dharma Bhakti Ekuitas, the manuscript will be rejected immediately on the grounds of publication ethics misconduct.

Depending on the severity of the violation, the Editorial Board may:

  • impose a submission ban of up to three (3) years;
  • record the author(s) in the journal's internal blacklist database; and
  • reserve the right to notify the author(s)' affiliated institution(s) or relevant authorities in cases involving serious or repeated violations of publication ethics.

Authors are therefore strongly encouraged to submit manuscripts only when they are fully committed to completing the editorial and peer-review process with Dharma Bhakti Ekuitas.

By submitting a manuscript, authors acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the journal's editorial policies and publication ethics.

The Editorial Board sincerely appreciates the dedication of its editors and peer reviewers, whose voluntary contributions are essential to maintaining the journal's quality, credibility, and integrity. Please respect the time of all authors and uphold the principles of responsible and ethical scholarly publishing.
