Banking & Management Review (BMR) implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and academic integrity of all published manuscripts. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential throughout the review procedure.

Each submitted manuscript undergoes the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Evaluation
The editorial team evaluates the manuscript to ensure its relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, compliance with author guidelines, writing quality, and ethical standards.

  2. Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin before proceeding to the peer-review stage.

  3. Double-Blind Review Process
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers evaluate:

    • Originality and novelty of the study

    • Relevance to banking and management disciplines

    • Research methodology and data analysis

    • Theoretical and practical contribution

    • Clarity, structure, and quality of writing

  4. Editorial Decision
Based on reviewer recommendations, the editor may decide:

    • Accept Submission

    • Minor Revisions Required

    • Major Revisions Required

    • Resubmit for Review

    • Reject Submission

  5. Revision Stage
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewer and editor comments within the specified revision period.

  6. Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final publication decision based on the revised manuscript quality and reviewer evaluations.

The average review process typically takes approximately 4–8 weeks depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.
